  • Fred, no Sir. The M1A1 (M-14) is chambered in .308/7.62x51 and not 7.62x39. The difference is shown here : ammunitiontogo.com/lodge/7-62x51-vs-7-62x39/

  • Fred, no, the M1A1 M-14 is chambered in 7.62×51, Wich Is the military version of 308 Winchester. So it wouldn't be able to fire 7.62×39 Wich is an ak round. Sorry but hope this helps.
