  • I am a disabled 59 yo Vet , and former Ironworker, December 2021 I suffered a stroke, which I lost the use of
my left arm for a time. I haven't quite gotten full use of it yet, and not sure if I will.
I recently bought a 9mm auto pistol Taurus G2C. Im having trouble pulling the slide back because of the lack
strength in my left hand, im wondering if there is anything that can be done tohelp me with this problem
, such as can a weaker spring be put in without messing up the fuction of the gun?

  • Dennis, the factory recoil spring for the Taurus G2C is 16lbs. To save the function and reliability, I would try the technique here first Sir : pewpewtactical.com/how-to-rack-pistol-slide-weak-hands/

  • A slide can often be racked by hooking a rear sight on a belt or the square edge of something like a table or door then pushing forward. Be aware of your muzzle and trigger if you choose this method. I'd try it weapon unloaded until sure of myself.
