  • I wanted to find out if the S&W Performance Center Ported M&P 9 Shield M2.0 Hi Viz Sights 9mm will have any issues accepting ammunition such as +P & +p+?

  • Kyle, per the owners manual, you can safely fire +P ammunition, but +P+ ammo must not be used in S&W firearms. Have a great day!

  • If you're throwing thousands of rounds through one then I'd stick with standard ammo and Only using +p specifically for defensive ammo.

  • Kyle, it will safely fire any 9mm +p ammunition just fine. The manufacturer like most just tell you to Clean it more often if you're shooting alot threw it and warn it can wear parts quicker than standard velocity ammo but unless you're shooting thousands of rounds I doubt you'll ever notice a difference. As for +p+ no manufacturer will tell you it's safe to fire +p+ threw because there's no Sammi spec Wich means manufacturers can load it as hot as they want. Most manufacturers say shooting +p+ ammo can void the warranty. Will it handle it safely most likely yes but I'd recommend sticking to standard velocity and +p ammo just to be safe. Hope this helps.

  • Kyle, no Sir. There have not been any reported issues with the Hi Viz Sights currently with heavier loads. Cheers and stay safe!
