some of my bullets are plain on the tips but others have a green tip or red tip . what do the colored tips mean ?

Plain tips are FMJ, full metal jacket, the green tip are FMJ with a mild steel penetrator in the nose. The red tip is plastic ballistic tip round. Fmj is usually for target, the green tips for penetration and the ballistic tips for varmint hunting.
