  • Would 2.5 inch ammunition shoot well from a 3 inch barrel.

  • Antonio, if you are talking about a 3" chamber, the answer is yes. If you are talking about a revolver with a 3" barrel, such as the Taurus Judge, that would depend if the gun is chambered for 2 1/2" or 3" shells. Any .410 gun with a 3" chamber will fire both 2 1/2 and 3" shells. If the gun has a 2 1/2' chamber, you can only fire 2 1/2" shells.

  • As mentioned by the guys below, yes, you absolutely can use the 2.5" shells.

  • Antonio, yes 2.5 inch shells will work just fine in a 3 inch chamber. If it's a semi automatic shotgun lower velocity 2.5 inch shells might not completely cycle the bolt. I'd recommend grabbing a couple boxes in different brands to see what functions best but perfectly safe to fire 2.5 inch shells out of a 3 inch chamber. Hope this helps.

  • Antonio, yes Sir it will. Same concept as a .357 Magnum Revolver being able to fir the shorter .38Special. No issue with 2.5 inch .410 in a 3 inch chamber. Cheers and stay safe!
