The hammer hits the fining pin when I pull the trigger HARD in all hammer positions with the safety off. Is this correct.

Dean, no, the hammer should only drop when it's fully cocked. It shouldn't drop when pulling the trigger in any other position. I just checked mine trying to pull the trigger with the hammer in all positions and it wouldn't let me pull the trigger unless it's fully cocked. I'd recommend contacting heritage arms at 229-210-2666 or you can also call 800-845-3776 Monday - Friday
