Joe, as long as the gun is legal to own in your state, it is very simple. It's almost like any other on line purchase, except the firearm must be shipped to a FFL (Federally Firearms License holder). You simply put your firearm of choice in your shopping cart & go to check out. There you will be asked to choose a FFL near you to have the gun shipped to. When your gun arrives, you make arrangements to come in and fill out the paperwork (Form 4473) and the FFL will initiate a background check. You will need gov't issued ID, and in some states, a firearms ID card (FOID or FID) Upon passing the check, the gun will be transferred to you. Joe, very simple, pretty much same as buying one at a in person gunshop you're just buying it online and having it shipped to a gunshop/FFL to do the background check/transfer. Just pick out a firearm, add it to your cart and proceed to checkout. First page will ask for a FFL dealer/gunshop to send it to. Buds has a FFL locator just type in your zip code and FFL dealers near you will pop up. Second will ask how you want to pay. And last page is to confirm your order and add credit/debit card information if you chose to pay that way. After you purchase the firearm buds will ship it to the FFL dealer you chose. Once it arrives you just go pick it up and do the background check and transfer like you normally would.
