What is the best round for this pistol? ( Rock Island Rock Standard 51429 45ACP 3.6" barrel What gr. works best with this barrel length? Even just a good lower mid priced ammo. I'd like to practice with the ammo I'm gonna carry.

In the Officers model I've found most people shoot best with this. It's low recoil for better control of the little pistol.

200gr hollow points is what I'd use for carry. Lots of knockdown power without over penetration. As far as brand, I like any Federal munitions. American Eagles have been 100% reliable for me with tens of thousands of rounds fired.

Wise decision to practice with what you will carry Patrick. Most don't. I recommend a mid weight for this barrel length of a 200gr JHP. As you can see. Many like all kinds of ammo. I'd try a few and see what runs best through your firearm. Only time will tell but all the ammos mentioned are good in their own ways.
