Gregory, depends on Wich state you live in. Most states don't require a FFL dealer but a few like believe California, new York require it to be sent to a FFL. You can always find out by adding the item to your cart and proceeding to checkout. The first page will either ask for a FFL dealer or your address. If it just asks for your address it'll ship directly to you. If it asks for a FFL dealer unfortunately it'll have to be sent there. Then just back out of it if you don't want to go through with the purchase at the moment. Hope this helps.

Hi Gregory, NO- they DO NOT need any FFL - in MOST states. There are states that now require FFL for every gun including all muzzleloaders. IDK why ppl in those states allowed their elected officials to get away with that.
