Hi Ronald and welcome to the Buds community. The Body Guard has a Ambidextrous Cylinder Release, Double Action Only operation. The S&W Airweight adds Single Action/Double Action operation. The price difference boils down to which action you prefer. The cost difference is more a matter of how many of each that are in stock as Buds prices are tied to stock level. Cheers and stay safe!

Hi Ronald, the Airweight is single action/double action, while the bodyguard is double action only. The bodyguard also has an Ambidextrous Cylinder Release. So basically, for another $100, you're getting SA/DA instead of DA only.
Stay safe & have a great day!
