  • Jim, the rimfire receivers are not steel. All of the Henry rimfire receivers are made of a zinc alloy called Zamak. (Z-Zinc, A-Aluminum, MA-Magnesium, and K-Kopper) The "Golden Boy" is also the "Zamak" alloy, and they call the plating on it "Brasslite", it's not solid brass.

  • Jim, everything I'm seeing says it has a steel receiver. I'd recommend contacting Henry customer service and give them the model number (H001TM) for a definite answer at 1-866-200-2354 or here's a link you can use to message them.
