Not familiar with Henry rifles. Is the receiver made of steel, or is it some other material with an outside overlay?

Jim, everything I'm seeing says it has a steel receiver. I'd recommend contacting Henry customer service and give them the model number (H001TM) for a definite answer at 1-866-200-2354 or here's a link you can use to message them. Hope this helps, link here.................... henryusa.com/contact-henry-repeating/
Jim, the receiver is made of steel. Henry makes great lever action rifles. Hope this helps.
Hi Jim and welcome. It is made of Steel Sir. Blued Steel Receiver with grooves for supplied scope mount. Cheers and stay safe!

Jim, the rimfire receivers are not steel. All of the Henry rimfire receivers are made of a zinc alloy called Zamak. (Z-Zinc, A-Aluminum, MA-Magnesium, and K-Kopper) The "Golden Boy" is also the "Zamak" alloy, and they call the plating on it "Brasslite", it's not solid brass.
Stay safe & have a great day!
