  • A typical loading 147gr bullet from a typical 9mm pistol will have a muzzle velocity slightly below the speed of sound, thus being “subsonic.” With a higher pressure load (such as +P) or a longer barrel, that same bullet might have a muzzle velocity above the speed of sound, thus being supersonic

  • Hi Evans and welcome. No Sir. This load has a Muzzle Velocity of 945 fps in a 5 inch handgun and would be supersonic out of a 16 inch barrel. A heavier bullet and/or less powder would work : freedommunitions.com/9mm-luger-165-gr-rn-hush-new.html
