Hi Michael and welcome. I would see if Venom has a shim. Many red dots, example : Far Dot have shims available where the thickest part goes on the rear of the plate to give extra range of adjustment. Michael, none that I know of. I also bought a Vortex Venom and it has the same problem. I have it adjusted as low as it will go, and it still needs to go lower. Also have trouble getting cap back on after battery is installed, it is clinging on by about 1/4 thread. Last Vortex optic I'll ever buy. At any rate, I hope you figure something out.
