My wife has the very same gun. Great gun for sure, But not optics ready.

Hi tony and welcome. This model is not optics cut. You could replace the rear sight with an optics mount : https://gallowayprecision.com/optic-mount-plate-for-smith-and-wesson-m-and-p-380-shield-ez-pistols ----------- Cheers and stay safe!
