Hello ,, Recently purchased a new small frame 642 from S&W - nice gun - I like it - perfect conceal piece - however - I'm for sure a senior and my physical abilities aren't quite what they used to be - what can I say ... Trying to find a load or bullet weight with more controllable recoil ( less recoil ) but still maintain accuracy - Can anyone shield some light? Currently using Magtech's 158grn FMJ Flat Nose for target rounds.

These are low recoil and come in a self defense configuration too. The composite bullets are half the weight and half the recoil of lead.

Hi Mark, I would try 130g for target rounds. Just go with a better round. I like Sig's stuff and Nosler but these will work nicely
