  • Hi David, Section 41.100 of RCW 9.41 mandates that anyone selling ammunition in the state for business purposes ****HAS TO BE REGISTERED**** with the state Department of Revenue to do so.
Bud's is ****NOT REGISTERED**** with the state of WA, so all ammunition must be shipped to a dealer with an Ammunition license issued by the duly constituted licensing authorities of any city, town, or political subdivision of the state of Washington.
    .
If Bud's was registered, they could ship ammo to your home. They are not, so must go to FFL.
Stay safe & have a great day!

  • They now require background check on ammo purchase "When buying ammunition online in Washington State, the buyer must have the ammunition shipped to a licensed dealer or retailer. The ammunition cannot be shipped directly to the buyer’s residence. This requirement ensures that the buyer undergoes a background check and complies with all applicable laws before taking possession of the ammunition." https://lexdigest.com/is-it-legal-to-buy-ammo-online-in-washington-state/

  • Hi David and welcome. No but, likely due to hesitation on Buds part to newly enacted gun laws in Washington. Buds Customer Service may have a more definitive answer/reason at 1-859-368-0371 9am-8pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 8pm Mon - Sat and 9am to 7pm Sunday. Cheers and stay safe!

  • Its part of the law now, it was effective January 1st. "All ammunition must be shipped to a dealer with an Ammunition license issued by the duly constituted licensing authorities of any city, town, or political subdivision of the state of
Washington". I am also in WA.
