Hi Jacob, this one is 1/4" and Centerfire pistol rated. Item 44905 is 3/8" thick and is Centerfire rifle rated. I don't know why the thicker one is less money, but that one is definitely the better buy.

Hi Jacob and welcome. This is thinner 1/4 inch and pistol rated and 44905 is 3/8 inch thick and rifle rated. The difference in cost is due to number of each in stock. Buds prices are tied to stock level and same/similar items that are higher in stock will be less $ and vice-versa. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
