do you have to remove the optic to get access to replace the battery?

Hi John and welcome. The Optic has a battery on the bottom and has to be removed. There is no shake awake feature. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

Yes you do, that's the one thing that deterred me from getting one. That and it does not have the Shake Awake feature.

Hi John, yes the battery is on the bottom and the sight needs to be removed to replace it.
