High point carbine with red dot

I have the factory sight still on at the end of the barrel and the red dot scope that came with it, I have only shot it a couple of times since getting it, Here is my problem I have found myself trying to us the red dot scope and the factory scope and it very confusing to me, is it best to remove the factory sight ? which that seems like the most logical thing to do. If anyone has experience with this please any advice would help.

yes if you are going to use the red dot either remove the front sight or use a riser and move the red dot higher so you don't see the sight as much

Yes, I prefer the front sight post removed.

Hi Howard, I would either get a riser under the red dot or remove the front sight altogether.
