I own a original Ruger SR9 and mine came with two 17 round mags as well. Ruger also has a SR9C model which is the concealed carry version that come with a 10 round mag as well as a 17 round. I believe the only model that comes with only one mag is the SR9E, which is the "economy" model where they made a few changes to bring down the price point.

I own a few Rugers and have never had any come with more then 1 magazine each. Ruger makes a fine firearm and I think a way they are able to keep the cost down, are by providing only 1 magazine. If you do purchase a Ruger, please shop for additional magazines from Buds, they are much cheaper on Ruger OEM magazines then even Ruger themselves.

Unfortunately this model Ruger only comes with one magazine straight from the factory. Most handguns come with two magazine, but this model only comes with one. Hope this helps.
