Hi Chase, the capacity is 2+1. Taken from the owners manual " The magazine has a two-shot capacity*, in line with current hunting regulations in many countries, made possible by the insertion of a reducer plug. This reducer restricts firearm use to no more than three shots (two in the magazine, and one in the cartridge chamber). This device is fitted by Beretta during manufacturing and assembly of the A300 Ultima."

Hi Chase and welcome. I would confirm with Beretta Customer Service. A 1 round plug for hunting does not make a lot of sense. Beretta Customer Service is at 1.800.Beretta (237-3882). Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
