Do they sell the .22LR upper I would need to convert this from.223/5.56 to .22LR? Or can I use any standard .22LR AR upper? Sorry if this is a dumb question looking to purchase my first AR and want to be able shoot inexpensive .22 rounds when possible.

Got in trouble when I was younger. Later in 74' I bought a Ruger 357 and a Weatherby 12 ga. in Alaska. Laws have changed. How am I able to find out if I can purchase a firearm in Calif. without wasting anyone's time. Is there paperwork, background check I can do before I make a purchase? I would like to make a purchase if possible. If not so be it.

I was told by a friend that there is a .45 caliber that you can swap out a .22 barrel with to be able to shoot both through the same pistol. Which model would this be? He said it was an American Tactical brand. Thank you. Dave

This gun retails for $2300 from Weatherby and I haven't found it any cheaper than $1800 anywhere else. Is this price correct for this gun? Not going to complain but the old saying if it's too good to be true it normally is. http://www.weatherby.com/mark-vr-accumarkr.html

The recoil spring is an often cited problem for this gun, but most people are saying they got a replacement spring from Century Arms which stopped the ejection failures. Are these guns being fitted with the fixed springs from the factory at this point, or do you still have to request a replacement?
