My understanding is that Glock made updates to the 42. The most recent would be the numbers "1" and "0" stamped on the end of the guide rod. Can this be confirmed and is this what is meant by gen3 in the description?

You are still not getting my question. Please re-read my last question. I know the battery will, when fully charged last a while.. I know it's got a long overall life. I suspect that if the battery is charged by the solar cells in light for 30 seconds, it won't charge the battery enough to work at all, This would be for concealed carry. Concealed is under clothes, without light. Or home defense in a drawer. How long is light required to fully charge the battery? Get it?
