I live in NC and my son lives in KY. He has no criminal record (if he does he better hope I don't find out) and I'd like to give him a XD-M as a present. KY requires no permit to purchase a firearm and no background check for private gun sales. Is there anything I need to do prior to gifting this firearm to him? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I bought the Trijicon RM04 as well as a Trijicon RMRcc pistol adaptor plate but neither seems compatible with my P365XL weapon. I checked YouTube and the demonstrators are unscrewing the rear sights from the bottom of the slide but that doesn’t seem applicable to my handgun. There are no holes on the bottom and the rear sights aren’t within the cut. Why was I sold an adaptor plate that doesn’t fit the slide? I see there's a number of payment options listed, however, this only seems to apply to firearms. When trying to buy ammo, I only see 2 options (credova financing or your credit card). Is it possible to pay by check for ammo? I've always paid by credit card, but dems are now getting credit card companies to flag any significant gun/ammo purchases. Last I checked criminals don't use credit cards to illegally buy guns in a back alley which means they plan to harrass the law abiding exclusively...

Why does the Sig Sauer P365 micro list the magazine as a double stack? The ones I have seen are a 10+1 or 12+1 single stack. Supposedly Sig developed the gun around the magazine because of its thin profile while holding that many rounds.
