I have a desire to buy a SW500 Magnum. However, I sometimes think about the Ruger Alaskan 454 Casull. My wife and I like hiking in bear country and want a back up plan in case the spray doesn’t work. I read the Ruger has issues with bullets that are not properly crimped. Finally, which will have better value to my collection? Thank you.

Buds delivered my shockwave today to my FFL. I picked it up a few hours ago. Gun looked great in the plastic packaging. I went to load it and cycle and it was difficult. I noticed white sand in the action and all down the barrel. Sand is in the magazine tube as well.

I cant get but 5 rounds in my mag my 280 pound son got 6 I can load my ruger p-89 with 16 rounds with 1 finger its so easy is this normal we made a tool and put it in a shop vice and finally got it loaded both mags same way
