it seems to me 12 GA shotguns that are no semi-auto kick alot.i am worried that using a scope might damage my eye area for the recoil. how do i manage that risk or is it even anything to worry about? i have used scopes on high power rifles and 20 GA but they were semi-automatic that reduced the recoil.

Length of Pull info. what is Length of Pull and what does it matter? why i am asking: one of the reviews said "you must have long arms to run the pump effectively". this being 7+1 version is why i want to buy it over the normal 5+1 version. i have shorter arms than most men & i'm worried the additional distance to reach the pump handle might be problem for me to be comfortable with it. info given on the description lists the LOP 14.25 but the 5+1(shorter LOP?) no LOP listing to compare it.

I just purchased this firearm and it doesn't specify what type of night sights it comes with. I'm guessing they are of the fiber optic type? Also it states its the "Bill of Rights" version with engraving on the slide. Is there a way to verify that? maybe with the model or serial number? Thanks in advance,,, Arlis

it is somewhat less expensive to get an IAC or Pardner shotgun not the Maverick 88 but am i giving up alot more quality if i go less expensive for only a small price difference and is the Maverick 88 better for interchanging various equipment compared to the other 2 models?
