when this firearm was first issued (4 1/4" bbl) the rifling was polygonal. S&W switched back to broach. Is your stock of the 2.75" version broach rifled? Critical to me.

I recently took a interest to these type of firearms, so I went into my local gun dealer to see what they had. They only had the Remington tac 14 in stock, so I asked about the Charles Daly and he turned up his face and mentioned they had them before but they were a hard sell. So I'm wondering whats the 411 on these, being a Engineer from design I like the Charles Daly grip and the rail for a light on the pump, but I am inexperienced as far as "shotguns".
