Will this pistol's mag fit my Hi-Point 995 ? The pistol's mag holds 8 rds but the Carbine's mag holds 10, so my thoughts are the pistol's mag will be too short to engage. Also I see the Carbine 9mm 995 mag will stick out of the pistol's grip.

This exact model is sold in sportsmans warehouses in CA, yes, with the threaded barrel. Buds own pdf on california component compliance shows no rule against threaded barrels on centerfire semiauto rifles without fixed magazines.

I was a sniper in the army and own several long guns and multiple AR platforms. I am looking into purchasing this rifle as my beat and abuse trail rifle similar to army issue m4/m16. Simple, reliable optics, accurate and durable, that's all I need. What is the most effective baseline round load out for your rifle? Grain, weight etc. I am aware all rifles are different but Im also aware that every manufacturer has suggested load outs.
