Compromise between power, reliability, size & weight. I sometimes carry a subcompact .380, often a G2C, occasionally an Officer .45 1911. The 1911 is HEAVY! The sub ..isn't much gun. The G2C is 26oz loaded. This would be nice if it was about the same size & weight as the G2C... the std. 856 says 22 oz... which, loaded, would be about the same as the G2C. ...about half the rounds but, it's a revolver! If lighter than the G2C ...I can use a speedloader! Carry guns get beat up!
