so i was gonna put this on layaway and get it out right after thanksgiving but from what i understand you guys don't save the gun. so i guess what I'm asking is if there are plenty of these guns in stock to where i shouldn't worry. it was gonna be a christmas present. any information in this regard would be greatly appreciated. In the description it says in one area that it has a walnut stock, in another description it says it has a Black Walnut stock. So which is correct. Not up on the grading of wood.

Am I missing something that I'm not accounting for when pricing this rifle? Every location in MN seems to want between 1200 and 1300 but everything online shows 850-1000. I get their is a 60 transfer fee to a local dealer, but that doesn't explain the large price difference. Any thoughts would be helpful

I recently purchased a Marlin 30-30 lever action. I have only had it out once and have little experience with lever actions. I was having a lot of problems with feeding and ejection. (Never worked correctly once) I understand I have to work action fast and hard. But just how fast and hard? Is there a break in? Is there a definite way of telling if it is the gun or myself?
