If I wanted to change the brace to a SBA4 would I have to buy a new buffer tube ? Or could I just slide the brace on it ?

This is my first AR 15 . Its a plain Jane, looking for advice on accessories with a budget. I know i need a buffer tube ., the one that came with AR pistol is all smooth, ( i was gifted a stock) i don't see how the bump stock with attach . I didn’t know how to reply to my original post..
