I was looking at the parts schematic for the Browning BL-22 and I noticed that the receiver has a steel sleeve that fits over an aluminum internal receiver. has anyone seen this before? https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/browning/rifles-browning/bl22-grade-ii

Hi Robert, Yes this is correct. The BL-22 always had this design. I know it's uncommon but hey it has worked without flaw!

yes that is normal for the BL-22. It will still last you a lifetime of use

Yes I have Robert. This has always been the design of the Browning BL-22. I think it is more of a cost saving measure since low pressures are involved here.
