SPC twist rates opposed to 300 BLK

The 6.8 SPC is interesting. Noticed twist rates of 1:9, 1:10 & 1:11, yet ammo was all 110 to 120. Is faster twist (1:9) better? Also, how does this compare to a .300 BLK at around 100 yards max?
