  • Guess I didn’t explain my concerns with cleaning my PX4 Compact!! I always make sure my guns are unloaded and safe to clean! What I was trying to convey was that the rotating barell presents added attention to detail with more parts. It is after reassembly and when ready to shoot that I’m concerned. I do press check to see if barell is rotating first. Think I’ll just trade it for an FNS9C, I like the looks and reviews on it anyway! Any negative issues with FNH?? Thanks

  • The rotating barrel doesn't present any problem with cleaning or re-assembly. It is a very well proven design used in some high dollar pistols like the Excaliber Grand Power. The system keeps the gun low shot to shot because it eliminates some muzzle flip. It has a firing pin safety so it will not fire if it is not locked up. just rack it and shoot.

  • The FnS-9C is a great gun I would also Check out the Ruger SR9-C I carry the ruger and it is a great gun that has a very straightforward field stripping procedure plus it has the 10 and 17 round mags (with grip extension) review of the FN thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/02/robert-farago/gun-review-fns-9c-compact-9mm-handgun/ and review of the Ruger thetruthaboutguns.com/2010/09/robert-farago/gun-review-ruger-sr9c/

  • Thanks for the explanation on the situation with the PX4. Now I fully understand what you meant. The only somewhat of a negative I have seen on the FNH of all things is the look of the pistol. The FNH9C would be my personal choice over the PX4 any day of the week.
