No it cannot Roy due to slightly different barrel dimensions. The PT-111 G2 magazine well will not accept the 40Cal Taurus Magazine either or else Taurus would definitely have a conversion kit available.

I don't think that a conversion of the PT111 9mm pistol to .40 caliber is possible.
It would most certainly void the warranty, I would think. The conversion kit is called the PT140. Comes pre-assembled for your convenience, too!
