I'd be looking at this as a base rifle to build on . What... if any are necessary upgrades ? I hear a lot of chatter about enhanced firing pins, buffer tubes, and agb. Also can anyone speak for the longevity of the BCG?

Hi Douglas and welcome. The BCG is a standard M-16 BCG and is good but can be internally upgraded. I upgraded the firing pin and extractor spring on the BCG. The stock buffer tube is fine.
