What is the difference between the 10 round version and the standard version? Are the models identical other than the 10 round mags?

Good morning to you!! The market requires different magazine capacity for restricted states that require 10 round magazines. If you are in a free state that doesn't infringe on your rights you can buy full capacity magazines to go with the 10 round capacity firearm. The fire are is identical just has a 10 round capacity magazine. Hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day.

Potential differences in state-compliant models
To follow specific state laws, a compliant P226 SAO Legion might differ from a standard model in the following ways:
Magazine disconnect safety: Some state-compliant versions, like those in Massachusetts, require a magazine disconnect safety that prevents the pistol from firing with the magazine removed. This is a significant internal mechanical difference and can affect the trigger's feel. Owners of these models sometimes replace the locking block with a standard version to remove this feature.
Loaded chamber indicator: Some compliant versions may feature a small notch on the barrel hood that serves as a loaded chamber indicator (LCI). This modification is done to visually alert the user when a round is in the chamber.
Optics cut: Certain compliant versions, such as those for Massachusetts, may not have a slide cut for mounting a red dot sight. Standard models, in contrast, are often available with an optics-ready slide.
Blocked magazines: The 10-round magazines included with compliant models are simply blocked versions of the standard-capacity magazines. The pistol's magwell is the same, and it can accept standard-capacity magazines if installed in a state where they are legal.
Hi Ronnie and welcome. Same gun, different market. Most manufacturers make 10rd packages so their firearms can be sold in capacity restricted states. Both firearms will take either the lower capacity or the higher capacity magazines just the same. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
The main difference between the 226 SAO Legion with a 10-round mag and the standard 226 SAO is the magazine capacity.
The 10-round mag version is designed to meet regulations in jurisdictions with magazine capacity limits (e.g., some states or countries).
The standard P226 SAO usually comes with higher-capacity magazines (e.g., 15, 17, or 20 rounds), depending on the model and market.
The core pistol itself, the frame, slide, barrel, trigger, and internal components remains the same between the compliant and non-compliant versions.
Hope this helps Sir Ronnie. Take care and stay safe 🙏
Hello Ronnie,
Kindly specify which firearm or model you're referring to? Different firearms and models have various versions, and knowing the exact make and model will help me provide an accurate comparison between the 10-round version and the standard version.

Hi Ronnie, the only difference is the magazine capacity. Other than that, they are exactly the same. The 10 rd version will also accept 15rd magazines.
Stay safe & have a great day!
