Good Morning Don,
Federal intends to publish comprehensive reloading data on their website once it becomes available.
For now, here is Federal’s Online Customer Service contact information:
Customer Service: 800-831-8100
Product Support: 800-379-1732

At this time, there is no specific commercial reloading data available for the new 7mm Backcountry cartridge, as it is a very recent development featuring a proprietary steel case that poses challenges for resizing. Federal plans to release reloading data soon. Companies like RCBS are working on developing dies for this cartridge, but they are encountering difficulties due to the unique Peak Alloy steel cases, which cannot be annealed. For now, it’s recommended to reload only premium, nickel-plated cases to ensure safety and reliability.
Stay safe Bud and take care 🙏🏻
Data is unavailable at this point.!
Don,

No, there is currently no public data available for reloading the 7mm Backcountry cartridge because it is a relatively new cartridge and reloading data is still being developed by Federal. The cartridge's unique Peak Alloy steel case presents significant challenges for reloaders, as steel cannot be annealed and requires specialized equipment and techniques for resizing and loading. Federal is working with reloading equipment manufacturers to develop dies and load data, and component cases are expected to be available in the future.
Why reloading is difficult:
Steel Cases: The Peak Alloy steel case is a significant challenge due to its hardness and inability to be annealed, which can lead to brittleness after a few firings.
Proprietary Powder: Federal uses a proprietary ball powder in their factory ammunition, which is not currently available to the public.
Lack of Dies and Equipment: No commercial reloading die sets are available for the 7mm Backcountry yet, and even prototype dies are struggling with resizing the steel cases, according to a YouTube video.
What to expect in the future:
Federal's Plans: Federal is developing reloading dies and data for the 7mm Backcountry, with full data and component cases expected to be released eventually.
Commercial Availability: Commercial dies and reloading data will be available from reloading companies once the development process is complete.
Hi Don and welcome. Although new and still being developed, Reloading data is currently in development by Federal Premium and not yet released to the public. This video may give you some guidance until official reload data is released to the public. -- youtube.com/watch?v=auglD0bhhLU ------------- Cheers and stay safe!

Hi Don, The 7mm Backcountry cartridge is relatively new, and while it can be reloaded, specific load data is still being developed. Federal plans to provide full reloading data on their website, but currently, the unique Peak Alloy cases used in this cartridge may require special handling and techniques for resizing and loading.
While it is possible to reload, the unique steel alloy may present challenges. The cases cannot be annealed, which could lead to brittleness after several firings.
The 7mm Backcountry offers impressive performance but may not be as reloader-friendly as traditional brass cartridges. Reloaders should be prepared for specific challenges related to the steel case material. Full reloading data and recommendations are expected to be available from Federal.
Stay safe & have a great day!
