  • I saw an answered question regarding magazine compatibility stating there were no alternatives to the Armcorp (sp??) magazine… mine came brand new with Bersa mags. Are all .380 bersa mags the same?

  • Good evening to you!! Not all Bersa .380 magazines are the same; single-stack Bersa Thunder .380 mags often interchange, but the high-capacity Thunder 380 Plus magazines are different and won't work in standard models, and even within standard models, older mags with metal followers differ from newer ones with plastic followers, so match the specific model and generation.
    Key Differences:
Standard Thunder .380 vs. Thunder 380 Plus: The standard Thunder .380 uses smaller, often 7 or 8-round single-stack magazines, while the larger Thunder 380 Plus uses its own distinct, higher-capacity magazines (around 15 rounds) that aren't cross-compatible.
Single-Stack Models: Most single-stack Bersa Thunder .380s (like the CC, Firestorm, or standard) can share magazines, but capacity varies (7 vs. 8 rounds).
Internal Changes: Bersa has made engineering changes over the years, meaning even for the same model, an older magazine (with a metal follower) might not perfectly match a newer one (with a plastic follower).
    Best Practice:
Buy for Your Model: Always buy magazines specifically labeled for your Bersa model (e.g., "Bersa Thunder .380" or "Bersa Thunder 380 Plus").
Check for Generation: For older guns, consider aftermarket options like MecGar if you want metal followers and easier availability, as factory internals have changed. Hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day.

  • Hi Joseph and welcome. No but, Bersa Thunder .380 single stack Magazines are compatible with the RIA Baby Rock 1911 380. They are less expensive than factory RIA magazines; -- budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/35342/rock+island+380797+1911+380+acp+rock+island+baby+rock+7rd+stainless+metal+detachable --------- The Bersa Thunder Plus uses double stack 15rd magazines which will not fit/insert in the Baby rock. budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/139454/bersa+thun380pm15mag+oem+black+detachable+15rd+380+acp+for+bersa+thunder ---------- Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

  • No, not all .380 Bersa magazines are the same; while magazines for single-stack Bersa Thunder 380 models (like the standard Thunder and Firestorm) are generally interchangeable, the higher-capacity Bersa Thunder 380 Plus uses a different, larger magazine, and there are differences in internal parts (like followers) between older and newer production runs. Always check your specific pistol model (standard vs. Plus) and consider aftermarket options like Mec-Gar for potentially better quality.
