  • Good evening to you!! The Colt Python with a 6" barrel weights in at 46 ounces. The Colt Grizzly with a 4.25" barrel weights in at 41-45 ounces. Which is an Apple to oranges comparison due to barrel length. But those are the nominal barrel lengths. The construction of the grizzlies frame and unfluted cylinder makes it lighter compared to the python's beefier frame. Hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day.

  • The Colt Python is generally heavier, with a 6-inch model weighing approximately 46 ounces. The new Colt Grizzly (based on the Anaconda frame) features a 4.25-inch barrel and weighs about 41.1 to 45 ounces.
    Key comparisons:
    Colt Python: Roughly 46 oz.
    Colt Grizzly: Roughly 41.1–45 oz.
While the Grizzly has a beefier, unfluted cylinder, the Python's overall frame construction often makes it slightly heavier depending on barrel length.
