  • Hi Keith and welcome. If it has the original barrel, it was likely manufactured in March of 1982 (fitting the V-prefix range) and has a barrel manufactured in March 1982. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

  • Good evening to you!! Barrel codes can be tricky as they repeat every 20 years, but based on the "V" serial number prefix (1978-1983), AC corresponds to January 1982. Hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day.

  • Given the serial number prefix "V" (often associated with 1980s Magnum receivers) and the "M" suffix, October 1982 is the most likely date for the receiver.Barrel Code (AC): A = October, C = 1982 or 2010.Receiver (V825769M): V-prefix generally indicates a 12 gauge Magnum receiver from the 1980s, confirmed by the 'M' suffix.

  • Hi Keith, on the barrel code AC, A is for March. C can be 1956, 1982, or 2008.
Remington never used serial numbers to identify the date of manufacture of it's firearms.
Stay safe & have a great day!
