  • I don't spend a lot of money on anything I buy, Why buy a BMW when a Chevy will get the job done. So looking at another inexpensive hand gun and came across the Sarsilmaz CM9 Gen 2. So what do we know about this item? seen reports its rated for 25000 rounds

  • My son-in-law who is a newbe to shooting purchased the Sarsilmaz CM9 and we met up at my other son-in-laws farm to try it our. After about 25 rounds or so it started to jam with FTEs and FTFs. Eventually the slide seemed to seize up and would not recoil back. We tried to manually pull the slide back and it was literally "frozen" in place. After 10 minutes or so of letting it cool down we were able to pull the slide back but it was extremely stiff. Just clarify, I thoroughly cleaned the gun and properly lubricated it before we ever shot a round out of it. After firing 3 more rounds it froze up again. I let him borrow my Taurus PT111 Millennium G2 (not the Pro model) and recommended that he consider buying. It has a very good trigger, good ergonomics and works flawlessly. Price wise its slightly lower cost than the SAR on Bud's. My son-in-law took my advice and is very happy with the gun and it works with every type of ammo he's tried including my hand load hollow points.

  • Why buy a BMW when a Chevy will get the job done? This thinking does not and should not enter into the thinking of a firearm potentially carried or used in a self defense situation. If that were the case I could buy several pot metal throw away paperweight guns for the price of a decent one.. There is a time to skimp on a product like knockoff dishwasher detergent at the supermarket.
if you can't justify the price of TIDE. That being said I have shot a few mags through a CM9 without issue. If it can get through for me at least 250 rounds of quality self defense rounds without any trouble I'd consider it in the rotation.

  • I don't know anything about the CM9 but I own a SAR B6P and I have no complaints.
