  • Contrary to the other 2 comments already mentioned, I had no issues purchasing a long gun from a FFL in another state. I was informed that as long as you purchase the long gun from a FFL, the weapon does not violate any laws in your home state, and the FFL is willing, it is not against the law. However, purchasing a weapon from an individual or a handgun (even at an FFL in another state) is not allowed. I would contact BUDS to determine what they are willing to do for you. I hope this helps.

  • Federal Law requires that firearms purchases must be made in the state of which one is a resident. Since you are an Arkansas resident and do not have a Tennessee (I'm assuming you mean Seiverville, TN) ID and TN address you will not be able to purchase a firearm. On the bright side, if you ordered a firearm from Buds on-line and have it shipped to an FFL in Arkansas you wont have to pay Tennessee's 9% plus sales tax. Depending on the cost of the firearm you're interested in, the FFL fee may be less than the sales tax and Buds ships most firearms for free.

  • Federal firearms license (FFL) holders are the only persons who can legally handle gun sales across state lines. This means that the merchant you're buying from must have an FFL, and that seller must, we repeat, must, ship the weapon directly to an FFL holder in your state.
