Buying handgun with magazines in restricted state

I live on the border of Maryland and Virginia. I live in MD but work in VA, so I'm back and forth every day. If I buy a handgun online and pick it up in Maryland, the magazines aren't allowed to have a capacity over 10, which is not ideal for me. I'm hoping to find out if Bud's will ship the magazines to an address in VA but send the gun to an FFL in Maryland. Is this possible?

sorry buds will not open the package for any reason the gun must comply as it comes from the factory

Unfortunately no Jamie. Buds does not open firearm packages or alter accessories including magazines. This is a long standing Buds policy.

Hi Jaime, Yes as long as the firearm itself is legal in your state. You'd have to toss the magazines at the stateline though lol
