  • What is rate of twist. I noticed that information on quite a few pistol reviews that I read. After looking a little deeper into the subject, it seems that it is mentioned more in conjunction with rifles. I'm confused. Is it just useless information that doesn't really matter or does it make a difference with handguns?

  • Hi david, in a handgun I don't feel it's as important as a long gun. Twist Rates explained here - bergerbullets.com/wp_super_faq/what-do-you-mean-by-faster-and-slower-twist-rate/

  • David, rate of twist is the complete revolution of a bullet in X amount of length of a rifled pistol or rifle barrel. Example 1 in 7 twist rate = 1revolutions every 7 inches of length.
