Can I use my $5 coupon that I earned from previous purchase on a layaway item, please advise.

you can use it when you are making the layaway but not on a existing layaway. You can confirm with Buds at LiveChat (available from 9AM to 9PM 7 days a week), the "Blue chat now" button at the bottom right of the page, or phoning at (859) 368-0371 (available 9AM to 9PM EST Monday through Friday).

Yes you can. I use them all the time. Just put the code in at the top of your cart screen and it will subtract the $5 then complete purchase as usual.
