is the Dan Wesson 01928 1911 Single 10mm a better gun than the colt delta elite 10mm (Colt Mfg O2020RG 1911), worth the higher cost for a 10mm, and why

Wayne, yes it is better but not the difference in cost better. Colt has come a long way with the Delta Elite 10mm. I own an 80's DE and a recent DE and I can feel the improvement quality. I've been a member of the 10Ring on Glocktalk for years and have been collecting 10mm handguns as I shoot 95% 10mm for target. plinking, hunting and self defense. Having over 25 10mm handguns including several Bren 10's. A good read is here : https://gunnewsdaily.com/best-10mm-pistols-handguns/ Please click the green box stating it as the best answer. Yes it is a much better gun than the colt but In my opinion the best value in a 10mm 1911 is this RIA I have one and it is a superb shooting gun (not a pretty as the colt or the DW) but for me a better shooter I had RIA install a 40S&W barrel and made it a dual caliber kit budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/2084_21_876/products_id/35215/Rock+Island+51914+TAC+Ultra+FS+Single+10mm+5+8%2B1+Gray+G10+Grip+Black+Parkerize
