  • I am looking at purchasing an inline muzzle loader, and have settled on the CVA Accura (I think). I am confused as to the differences in the models, and the CVA websight seems confusing. LR is a 30" barrel, MR is a 25" barrel, PR is a 28" barrel, and the V2 is a 27" barrel if I understand correctly. Is there any other differences. I live where I am restricted to Iron sights, but wish to go with a "peep"rear and a "globe" front. Are they all drilled and tapped for scope mounts and front sight

  • For the round profile barrels, all of them use the same sights, so you can get the sight setup you re looking for from CVA or a third party pretty easy. The biggest differences between the models come down to barrel length, stock and sights. They make almost every permutation or combo with the varous options, like getting a thumbhole, irons, and stainless on the V2. So its more a matter if finding all the options you like and getting that model. The only thing to consider past that is to go with one of their full priced / full featured models, or the budget optima modrl. All are wuite good.
