  • I am getting ready to buy a midrange priced 12 gauge over and under. I have narrowed the field down to the Mossberg Silver Reserve II Super Sport (which is currently out of stock ) and the Savage 22592 555 E. Which is a better choice and a better gun?

  • Bruce, they are close enough in quality, fit and function that it will basically boil down to personal preference. Given that tidbit of information, if I had to choose between the two, it would be the Mossy as I own several Mossbergs and they are second to none and not a one has failed in any way shape or form for more than 2 decades.
