  • Good Morning!
It is my first time purchasing a firearm through the internet. I chose an FFL dealer and paid for the firearm via credit card; however I'm not sure if I did everything I need to do to complete the transaction. Is there some sort of FFL paperwork I need to complete please advise, thank you?
    Good Day!

  • If you chose a FFL from the Bud's list they already have the FFL on file and you shouldn't need to do anything else until it arrives at your FFL. Once there you will have to do the ATF paperwork and pay the appropriate fees.

  • You will make it official when you do your background check at the FFL when your item arrives. You should expect a $20-$30 fee for the background check. It should take 5-10minutes depending on your state. Then as long as you pass your check, the firearm is yours and the transaction is complete.

  • I agree with all the above. One point however, inspect the firearm carefully, or have your FFL check it before taking deluvdelivery ery. Once it is transferred to you it is a " used" gun and should you chose to return it it will create problems. Better to not accept and waith for a different item than otherwise.

  • Your good, Just wait for your firearm to arrive at your FFL dealer then you will fill out the transfer & pick up your firearm.(Inspect your gun before accepting the transfer. If you are not happy for any reason leave the gun at the dealer. We will have it picked up for free and offer you an exchange or refund at no cost. .)

  • Yes. Once the gun arrives at your ffl you will fill out a form 4473. The ffl will call nics for the instant back ground check to make sure you are not prohibited from owning a firearm and you will pay him his transfer fee and walk out with your new firearm.
